Biography:

By combining a natural talent for sculpting, a love for animals developed at an early age, with an intimate knowledge of animals acquired during his veterinary education and practice, Dr. Robert Taylor has created a singularly exceptional craft.

Born in Pueblo, Colorado, and raised in Sweetwater, Texas, Taylor’s fascination with animals was first exhibited as he began riding in rodeos at an early age.  Taylor eventually became the American Junior Rodeo Associations’ World Champion by riding bulls and bareback horses.

Included in his championship winnings was a scholarship to Tarleton State University.  While attending college, Taylor continued riding.  His talent landed him the Southwest Region Collegiate Championship in bareback riding.
