18.5Hx9Wx13D Editon of 50

During the Fur trade years, 1820’s an 30’s, life expectancy fer Fur Trappers out west of the Missouri River wuz six months or less. The Blackfeet by far, had the worst reputation for war and meaness of the Injuns in the Northwest.

Ya kin bet, ‘round the Mountain Man’s camps, a heap of stories were told of the Blackfeet, at least by survivor’s mongs’t em. Perhaps this ole he coon’s story would’ov got a lot of Hee Haws when he told em bout running his pony off a cliff cuz a-n-y chance is better’n no chance at’all. Course ee ain’t minding long’s he’s got his har. On the other hand there weren’t no laughing when they discovered the bleached bones an traps of sum ole friend scattered down along the trail.
