Our great grandfathers in the
west were men of iron physically and morally.
Icy cold, burning heat, freezing rain, sometimes days with little or no food,
hardships beyond our understanding with very few complaints. I have made an
attempt to portray this fact with a fairly common happening on the overland
trail, a little equipment problem along with unexpected bad weather surely made
