Biography:Wildlife sculptor Dennis Jones has been involved with hunting and fishing since childhood. After graduating from college, Dennis pursued art as a freelance artists until 1985 when he was introduced to sculpture as a medium never before used by Dennis. Since that time, Dennis has been a full time sculptor / artist, and has major success doing wildlife sculptures. In the past 15 years Dennis has sold over 40 lifesize or larger pieces of sculpture around the country and in Canada. Dennis has also been the artist of the year for organizations such as Safari Club International, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Foundation of North American Wild Sheep, The Mule Deer Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, and several local chapter organizations that have a strong interest in the preservation of hunting and the right to bear arms. Through these organizations, Dennis has generated over nine hundred thousand dollars towards the cause for which he believes. Dennis finds it an honor to have his sculptures in the homes and offices of people such as former Vice-President, Dan Quail, former President George Bush, General Norman Schwartzskof, rock star Ten Nuggent, actress Connie Stevens, astronaut Joe Engle as well as many owners of major corporations around the country. Now residing in the north east corner of the state of Oregon, Dennis is surrounded with the beauty of the Wallowa mountains and the wildlife that inhabits this area. Dennis finds himself hiking and exploring the Eagle Cape Wilderness which is out the backdoor of his home in Joseph, Oregon. You will find Dennis either working for the cause for which he believes or packed back in the wilderness finding peace and solitude with nature. There is no greater pleasure than to be out in the mountains looking at God’s creation and enjoying the wonders of our land, says Dennis. For that reason, Dennis wants to preserve the rights to have our children enjoy the same pleasures in life. “I am thankful that I have a talent that I can use to generate funds to help our future sportsmen enjoy the great outdoors.”
